About FinEdu Track
Financial education, built into higher education.
FinEdu Track is a computerised platform that helps institutions put the financial education goals of NEP 2020 into practice, and measure the results.
The problem
Two gaps that feed each other
Many young people enter the capital market hoping for quick returns, without the knowledge to judge risk. Their losses spread a belief that investing is a gamble, and others then avoid a valuable avenue for saving.
At the same time, most of the wider population has little financial literacy, and there is no common way to measure whether education efforts are working.
Our approach
Two goals, met through the education system India already has
Informed investors
Commerce, management and economics students follow a structured path of core subjects, industry certification and internship, so they understand the market's structure, risks and rewards.
Every discipline included
Students of science, engineering and humanities take at least one financial education course and certification, so financial knowledge is not limited to commerce graduates.
Literate communities
Through credit-based outreach projects, students teach financial basics to family members, neighbours and others, and the improvement is measured.
What makes it different
Measured, comparable and trustworthy
Improvement you can measure
Every outreach is assessed before and after, giving a numerical improvement for each person reached.
Results that add up
Individual results combine into student, institution and wider indices that can be compared across regions and years.
Records you can trust
Scores are protected once recorded, and personal data is handled with consent, in line with India's data protection law.
